...LOCALLY DENSE SMOKE AND HAZE WILL RESULT IN DETERIORATING AIR
QUALITY TODAY...
THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR FLORIDA`S NATURE COAST.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
...SMOKE AND AIR QUALITY IMPACT...
SMOKE AND HAZE EMANATING FROM A LARGE WILDFIRE ALONG THE GEORGIA
FLORIDA BORDER IN BAKER AND COLUMBIA COUNTY WILL CONTINUE TO
PLAGUE THE NATURE COAST TODAY. THERE MAY BE PERIODS WHEN
LOCAL VISIBILITY DROPS BELOW 1 MILE...ESPECIALLY THIS MORNING AND
AGAIN TONIGHT. OTHERWISE...VISIBILITY WILL GENERALLY BE 3 TO 5
MILES IN HAZY SUNSHINE.
RESIDENTS...PARTICULARLY THOSE WITH RESPIRATORY AILMENTS SUCH AS
ASTHMA...EMPHYSEMA...AND COMMON ALLERGIES...ARE URGED TO REMAIN
INDOORS TODAY. KEEP WINDOWS CLOSED AND USE AIR CONDITIONING...AND
IF POSSIBLE RECIRCULATE THE INSIDE AIR. MOTORISTS SHOULD REMAIN
ALERT TO SHARPLY REDUCED VISIBILITY THIS MORNING AND AGAIN
OVERNIGHT ESPECIALLY IN AREAS WHERE SMOKE MAY GET TRAPPED.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.
...SMOKE AND AIR QUALITY IMPACT...
CONTINUED NORTH TO NORTHWEST FLOW AROUND WEAKENING LOW PRESSURE
ALONG FLORIDA`S ATLANTIC COAST WILL MAINTAIN THE THREAT FOR SMOKE
AND HAZE SATURDAY THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. BY SUNDAY...WESTERLY
FLOW AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING FRONT SHOULD ALLOW THE SMOKE AND HAZE
TO DISPERSE. EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS BEHIND THE FRONT SHOULD TAKE
ANY REMAINING SMOKE WELL WEST OF THE NATURE COAST BY MONDAY AND BEYOND.
...THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
AN APPROACHING FRONT SUNDAY WILL ALLOW SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS TO
DEVELOP. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY BE STRONG WITH HAIL AND GUSTY
WINDS AS THEY GENERALLY MOVE FROM NORTH TO SOUTH. ADDITIONAL
STORMS ARE POSSIBLE MONDAY AND BEYOND AS A WEAK UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE REMAINS OVER THE AREA AND MOISTURE POOLS NORTH OF THE
FRONT...WHICH WILL DISSIPATE OVER SOUTHWEST FLORIDA.
...FIRE WEATHER IMPACT...
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS SUNDAY INTO MONDAY HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO
PRODUCE FIRE IGNITION FROM CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING STRIKES.
WHETHER THE STRIKES PRODUCE ADDITIONAL FIRES WILL HIGHLY DEPEND ON
HOW MUCH RAIN ACCOMPANIES THE STORMS.
This is awful my head is pounding my stomach is nauseated, I even had to put my air on the smoke is like a dense fog here.
Why Andrea did ya have to ditch us. The wind shear took care of the the sub tropical storm, making here no more...b*tch couldn't even put out some fires. I was so hoping for the rain relief. It doesnt look good.
You know I don't remember it ever being this bad.
Just got a weather alert from weather bug Dense smoke for the west central Florida area.
