SPECIAL TROPICAL DISTURBANCE STATEMENT

Atlantic SPECIAL TROPICAL DISTURBANCE STATEMENT

DSAAT
SPECIAL TROPICAL DISTURBANCE STATEMENT...CORRECTED
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
500 AM EDT SAT MAY 31 2008

...CORRECT SPELLING OF GUATEMALA...

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE...ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF FORMER
EASTERN PACIFIC TROPICAL STORM ALMA...IS CENTERED OVER THE GULF OF
HONDURAS NEAR THE COAST OF NORTHERN BELIZE. THE LOW IS MOVING
SLOWLY WESTWARD...AND THE CENTER IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INLAND OVER
THE YUCATAN PENINSULA DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS. HOWEVER...
SATELLITE IMAGERY AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATE THIS SYSTEM IS
BECOMING BETTER ORGANIZED...AND A TROPICAL DEPRESSION COULD FORM IF
THE CENTER REMAINS OFFSHORE THIS MORNING. EVEN IF NO DEVELOPMENT
OCCURS...LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINS AND FLOODS ARE POSSIBLE DURING THE
NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS OVER PORTIONS OF HONDURAS...EL SALVADOR...
GUATEMALA...BELIZE...AND SOUTHEASTERN MEXICO.
so it begins, Tomorrow is the start of the atlantic hurricane season and already there is an area of disturbance. Right On!! I will be keeping an eye on this, however Florida has been dominated by an high pressure system giving us all the blue skies this month. That could keep the system away if it stays organized and develops into a depression. We will see.
For us here on the westcoast their is a good chance of showers from the west coast seabeeze, in the afternoon but it probably more to the south.
Thats all for me right now, I hope your enjoying your weekend!

Yesterday was a weird day for me my emotions ruled me. Sometime the chin just stays down you know. Luckily for me today i am back to normal. I have been experiencing with flowers, tell me what you think.

Sky Watch Friday

Visit Mr. Old Wom Tigley to join us in sky watch Friday

The top picture I took this morning shortly after 7am the sky was amazing.
The bottom picture is from yesterday after the rain we finely received, I got this idea from sky watch bloggers. I'm still experimenting.

It look likes we will see more rain today and perhaps some storms(fingers crossed)
I'm am off today so I can do a little chasing if the situation arises. This is what NOAA has to say: THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
AMPLE MOISTURE CONTINUES TODAY AS A STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY LIES
NORTH OF THE STATE. UPPER LEVEL ENERGY IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS
NORTH FLORIDA...COMBINING WITH THE MOISTURE AND THE FRONT TO
SPARK OFF NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND SCATTERED STORMS...MAINLY OVER THE
NATURE COAST COUNTIES. ADDITIONAL STORMS ARE POSSIBLE OVER CENTRAL
FLORIDA...WITH THE BEST CHANCES OVER THE INTERIOR THIS AFTERNOON.

WITH TODAY`S STORMS...EXPECT BRIEF GUSTY WINDS...POSSIBLY UP TO 40
TO 50 MPH IN THE STRONGER STORMS IN THE NATURE COAST...FREQUENT
CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...AS WELL AS HEAVY RAINS.

I took this last picture for a friend Ms. Chickadew this one is for you. I never had a flower turn out so well in a photograph.

Happy Friday everyone!!! Have a great weekend!

rain drops keep falling on my head

A stalled front just north of the Florida/Georgia and Florida/Alabama border along with increasing moisture and a few upper level disturbances will provide much of the state with a chance of much needed rainfall today. A low pressure system developing in the Gulf of Mexico will send abundant Gulf moisture northeastward across the region today. This in conjunction with an upper level disturbance moving over the northern Peninsula today and the frontal boundary to the north will lead to scattered or widespread showers and a few storms by this afternoon. An area of rain in the Gulf of Mexico is already moving onshore near Tampa as well as a few showers moving northeast from the Florida Straits over southern Florida. These storms and areas of rain will gradually spread north and eastward throughout the day. The best chances for rain will be along the Gulf Coast and over Central Florida today with mainly isolated to scattered showers and storms over extreme South Florida and extreme Northeast Florida further away from the disturbances.

Not a chase day but the rain we need. My house is opened up and the smell of rain is flowing through. Mother nature is providing her own relief for the wild fires raging in are state. I went outside to see if I could grab some cloud shots. Nimbostratus ruled the sky I took a couple shots and i played with some puddle shots that I think look rather interesting. Thanks to sky watch bloggers for this idea.

Have a great day! see ya tomorrow for sky watch!

Jig didnt work/frusterrated with blogger

Early today I did a post, went to post it and it said the was an unsuspected error and the blog was lost. I had only 15 minutes to get dressed trow some make up on and get out to door to get to work. Frustrating!
anyway, my jig failed and theere was no more rain, I shouldn't complain we did get a little over an inch of rain. I finely got a tripod not what i wanted but i only paid five dollars for at the thrift store. now i just need the camera fairy to come and upgrade my camera. I have out grown my little click and shoot one. I want to be able to shoot the night Sky's. In the summer we have some beautiful cloud to cloud lightning which many people call heat lightning because the lighting is so far away you cant here the thunder. Also dusk is my favorite time of the day and my camera just doesn't take night shots very well. I just cant fit the cost in my budget. Maybe i will hit the lotto sometime.lol
Well it looks like we have a good chance of rain tomorrow, no jig this time I don't want to jinx anything their is a slight chance for thunderstorms also.maybe i can get some good clouds shots tomorrow for Fridays sky watch. well i must be off to bed i will leave you with a cool sunset over my neighbor who lives right across the street from.

Let it rain let it rain let it rain

Someone most of did one heck of a rain dance because the sky opened up and God's tears poured down. Finely. I went to breakfast where my buddy works which is right next to the dollar genral where i needed trash bags. While I was eating I was graced with a loud clasp of thunder. Ahh just the sound i have jouncing for. I went out side for a couple before the rain shots.

I love this shot the American flag flowing in the wind.

A couple shots later the rain began, i walked next door the the store grabbing a couple items then raced to my car i took the next shot in my car before i drove home.

Then once I got home my streets were of course flooded we have no sewers here in my neighborhood God forbid it were to rain for days here, we would all need boats to go anywhere. when I got home the sky looks so cool behind the windshield i took a shot.
alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5202484107284822082" />
The rain has moved to the south and with any luck there might be some more thanks to the stubborn frontal boundary that doesn't want to move on.
Well gonna go to a jig to bring on some more rain.

So close

So close yet still no real significant rain. We had a few drizzles last night, just enough to tease the grass. The sun now is shinning bright and someone else will see some rain fall but for us here in Port Richey it remains dry and this cloud stalker is getting frustrated. I sure hope this trend doesn't last to much longer I don't think I can handle it. I NEED a storm. I NEED to hear some thunder, to feel the cold down draft. It's been way to long. It looks like central Florida and south Florida will see some rain which is good they need it as much as we do. You go guys!
I am having A having a problem uploading pictures today and i don't have time to wait it out. so for now I bid you a wonderful Monday!

They call me CloudStalker

Sky Watch Friday
To join in on the fun visit Tom's site to register.

Every since I can remember i have been fascinated by the clouds.
When I was small I would lay in the grass and gaze towards the heavens, picking a cloud and naming its shape.( who am I kidding I still do that) When a storm would approach I would be outside watching the show until i was made by my parents to come inside. Now I watch the whole show.
My dream is to upgrade my camera so I can shoot storm footage, my passion is to gaze upon God's beautiful tapestry with all the beautiful colors and all the wonderful shapes. To capture the moment and to share with all. Happy Skywatch to everyone and have a beautiful weekend!

May days

While the weather remain calm here the plains are alive and are taken lives. My Prayers to those who lost loved ones, friends and homes. Sometimes I wonder why I am in love with this crazy weather. It's not the devastation but the beauty and the science. So much is going on in the world so much devastation. From Tornadoes, cyclones, earthquakes, wild fires. I just want to turn the news off and stop reading the paper and put some blinders on. I know I can't do that but this month there has been so much death my heart weighs heavy.

We have not had any rain this month and I read an article in the paper that said we are up 2 feet from April's showers but right now as we speak their is a wild fire raging in central Florida taken homes from people. I hope this year we have some good tropical rains to saturate are lands.

On a good note it is quite beautiful today, dry air has dominated are state producing blue Sky's and a beautiful breze, today makes it seem like all is well with the world. ( I have yet read any news today to ruin this euphoric thought).
Well its off to work for me, I owe I owe its off to work I go.......
