Sky Watch

This photo was shot in May 2012 on my way home from work. I love cumulus!!

Cumulus clouds are a type of low-level cloud that can have noticeable vertical development and clearly defined edges. Cumulo- means "heap" in Latin.[1] They are often described as "puffy" or "cotton-like" in appearance, and are generally less than 6,500 feet (2,000 m) in altitude, unless they are of the vertical cumulus congestus form. Cumulus clouds may appear alone, in lines, or in clusters. Cumulus clouds are often precursors of other types of clouds, such as cumulonimbus, when influenced by weather factors such as instability, moisture, and temperature gradient. Cumulus clouds are part of the larger category of cumuliform clouds, which include stratocumulus cloudscumulonimbus cloudscirrocumulus clouds, and altocumulus clouds.[2]

Catching up

You know it is so hard to manage time, I really thought i could keep up with my blog even if was just to post a photo a day or even a week. I do admit one of my faults is Facebook, I tend to spend my free moments there reading about other peoples life. Why? I don't know it's kinda like watching T.V. taking a step away from my own reality, I guess. But.....
I am here now to try again, I downloaded the Blogger app to my phone so maybe that will make it easier.

Halloween has come and gone the air is cooler and Barack Obama has been re-elected for another term.
A super storm named Sandy hit the east coast with a fury no one has seen in a hundred years, Super storm Sandy reached 900 miles wide, carried winds speeds of more than 90 mph, caused billions of dollars in damage and claimed at least 100 lives. A storm that will be talked about for generations yet to come and not only that but they were hit again last night with a nor'easter. Weather sure has been weird the last few years, every year we breaking records for something. I know hurricane Sandy will go down in record books.

I started a new job in August, I am finally out of that damn factory!! Yea!!! I am severing at Cracker Barrel at nights. Which is very different from the last four years having nights and weekends off. I don't get to spend anytime with friends but I am making more money and I am working less hours and since my son changed schools I am able to take him to the boss stop in the morning and I am there when he gets home. I just don't get to have a social life a sacrifice I have to make.

Well this entry is gonna come to a close, I am gonna leave you with a few links and some Pictures from Halloween.

Picture a day

A pretty sunrise today. I wish I would have caught it about a half hour before the sky was on fire. Unfortunately I was driving to work at that time.
The waters off congress are still high only receding a little bit. Which totally blows because it takes me an extra ten minutes to get to work.

Picture a day

This picture is a drainage Ditch on steroids. I'm joking of course. :)
The Anclote river swelled over its banks today and crested at 25.7 feet. It closed down a major evacuation route,SR 54 @ seven springs. A lot of neighborhoods are underwater right now.
It makes you wonder what would happen if a hurricane hit us.

Picture a day/ Tropical storm Debbie

Tropical storm Debbie has dumped almost 13" of rain here in the last 72 hrs. Luckily I am on high ground, no worries their. Not so lucky in Port Richey where I work. That's where I took the pictures.
Right now we are experiencing
wind gust up to 43 mph with sustained winds at 30- 35 mph. So it's uh windy.
Hopefully I will have more time to right tomorrow, for now good night.
Jess😄

Lotta of rain coming our way

Looks like we got a wet next couple days. I have been watching for this system since last week when the models were predicting it. Wind shear is high and will remain high for the next 3 days. So not much organization is expected right away. We sure do need the rain but I hope their is a pause Saturday I so wanted to hit the beach. So ma nature if your listening no rain between 8am and noon. Cool? Hey it never hurts to ask.

It's not raining here now, but it will be.
Great sleeping weather!

A new beginning

Wow, long time no post. Lol. I thought about starting a new blog, kinda making it it more personal. Weather just hasn't been very interesting around here lately. We have been in a drought for what it seem like forever. Good storms are always in the East and gas is just to expensive for a chase. Lots going on in the plains but there are better bloggers then I who cover that. So I just stopped blogging not that anyone reads it anyway. I do now feel the need to begin again, writing about my life. It's my way of making a mark in the world. Weird? I dunno I will never be famous and when I die, it wont be on the eleven o'  clock news. Well maybe I shouldn't say Never. My point is I get a kick out of being online, I goggled myself and saw my name all over the internet and I was like, wow too cool. Its like a time line from when I started on the internet. My history. Me. :). So instead of starting a new blog, I am going to continue this one. Cloudstalker is a part of who I am. Only instead of just posting weather stuff, I want to use this blog as a record of my life. Memory's in the making.

June 12, 2012 Tuesday 5:32pm Blue skies and Hot

Okay so where do I start, it's pretty damn hot today and of course there are storms firing in the east.
Tomorrow we should have a better chance for rain.
I have been feeling kinda crappy lately, dealing with IBS symptoms, trying to figure out what is provoking it. I quit drinking Soda as of matter of fact I don't drink any caffeine. I tried eating more fiber but its making the bloating even worse. It's something I have been dealing with for along time, weird thing is that it come and goes and i have no idea what is causing it. I have no insurance so a doctor is out and since i am not dead I know its not life threatening. I think i am gonna try a food journal. One step at a time, right?
On a better note I got a new camera nothing fancy, it's a Nikon 16.1 megapixel.
I like it. Ooh I also have an iPhone now and that i love!!! It has a lot of great camera and video apps which I will totally share! I love taking Pictures I have over a 1000 already on my phone.
Well it took a whole 1/2 hour to write this, Jeese. I have mom things to do now so must depart, for now.
Jess :@)
