MARCH 20,2007
Sunday Morning 5;30 we set out for the airport I'm so exited I know I must be forgetting something, Also I only slept for 2hrs but we go the air is a little chilly thank goodness because it was my jacket i forgot. Off we go, me with a full buzz of pure excitement.
The Plane trip was smooth and I got to KCI airport right on time 9:30 am .
Shane was their to pick me up ( He is Apart of the production team I can't really talk about till the show airs)(But Shane was Awesome company and it was nice to talk so somebody with so much experience of travel)
We drive thru Missouri which was beautiful Allot of Green foot hills which were huge to me .We drove the edge Of Iowa which was pretty damn boring I almost fell asleep.
We arrived in Sioux falls South Dakota around 3:30 checked then grabbed a bite to eat.I headed up to my room and waited for a call, when it came i was told i was free for dinner and would meet everyone in the morning. I decided to sleep so i could be well rested for the morning.
MARCH 21,2007
8am
My first interview(Cant talk about that ether but it sure was interesting to be filmed knowing millions could eventually watch me.)
11am I sneaked over to the chase vehicle and introduced myself to Peggy one of the twister sisters.I know instantly that i was gonna like here She asked about my tattoos and should me hers then We talked about our animals(Shane gave me an inside scoop that she owned allot of animals like me) She instantly made me feel at ease and looking more forward to the days ahead.
1pm
I have met everybody! Peggy and Melonie are the most remarkable women I have every met.I know why now I look up to them so.
We head out! I can hardly believe this is all happening! Me going tornado chasing with the twister sisters.
Today is basically a positioning day I don't relay expect to see much, But I still have my eyes pasted to the window taking in everything I see.
I saw some (NEW WORD NOT SURE I'M SPELLING IT RIGHT) Virdga- rain falling from the clouds but not reaching the ground.
Nothing else the day was considered a bust for most, but to me it was very exhilarating to travel 348 mile in one day we reached Kearey Nebraska @ 10:18 pm
May 22 and 23rd to be continued

...SMOKE AND AIR QUALITY IMPACT...
SMOKE AND HAZE EMANATING FROM A LARGE WILDFIRE ALONG THE GEORGIA
FLORIDA BORDER IN BAKER AND COLUMBIA COUNTY WILL CONTINUE TO

ASTHMA...EMPHYSEMA...AND COMMON ALLERGIES...ARE URGED TO REMAIN
INDOORS TODAY. KEEP WINDOWS CLOSED AND USE AIR CONDITIONING...AND
IF POSSIBLE RECIRCULATE THE INSIDE AIR. MOTORISTS SHOULD REMAIN

...FIRE WEATHER IMPACT...
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS SUNDAY INTO MONDAY HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO
PRODUCE FIRE IGNITION FROM CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING STRIKES.
WHETHER THE STRIKES PRODUCE ADDITIONAL FIRES WILL HIGHLY DEPEND ON
HOW MUCH RAIN ACCOMPANIES THE STORMS.
This is awful my head is pounding my stomach is nauseated, I even had to put my air on the smoke is like a dense fog here.
Why Andrea did ya have to ditch us. The wind shear took care of the the sub tropical storm, making here no more...b*tch couldn't even put out some fires. I was so hoping for the rain relief. It doesnt look good.
You know I don't remember it ever being this bad.
Just got a weather alert from weather bug Dense smoke for the west central Florida area.

smokey morning
A north wind is bringing smoky conditions due to wildfires burning in northern Florida and southern Georgia. Breezy conditions today,
If you suffer for respiratory ailments, plan on staying indoors today, as that smoke from fires to our north will continue to blow in. Winds will slowly shift tomorrow, a bit, from the West, and may bring some relief.
pee you that's what I got to say!! The smell of the smoke is nauseating.
of course I had the house opened up this morning because it was so nice last night.
now what do I do. close up and turn the air on or suffer????
suffer of course.
On a different note: I took my skywarn quiz, I know I aced it, it was easy cheesy.
All basic knowledge, I am going to hook up with more online classes to learn as much as I can I'm also thinking about going back to school to get a bachelor degree in science.
If I want it it will happen!!!
I just can't believe i waited so long to make a decision, its just school was always very hard on me, I was in special classes due to mental handicap called sld-specific learning disability-
My husband told me to stop letting it put a wedge between my dreams, if I want It will happen!! I love that man!!He is so right!! There is help out there for me and darn it I'm gonna make my dream happen!!!

Indeed we did get some rain. in fifteen mins we got.50 of rain. Then it was gone.
just like that. No pictures( my daughter had my camera)
I can't beleive all the weather events going on, my hubby is getting sick of the weather channel..lol.. not me!!
Cheak out my chaser links to see everthing that happened this weekend.
I pray for all those in Greensburg,Kanas, I agree with dew in saying I can't believe only 10 lost there lives in the EF5 tornado, 2 miles this wedge tornado was and the devastation is katrina like.Unbelievable.
Florida has seen it share of severe weather too, nothing like the plains but the south has got some much needed rain.YEA!!!
I have to take my son to school now but I will put up another post soon on the low spinning off east coast shore, keep and eye on Jeff Gammon's blog he is covering this weather event..
toodles....Jess

WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST FLORIDA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAMPA BAY - RUSKIN FL
340 AM EDT FRI MAY 4 2007
.SHORT TERM (TODAY - SUNDAY)...WEAK MID/UPPER LEVEL IMPULSE WHICH
HELPED DEVELOP THE THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS WILL
MOVE EAST TODAY WITH GUIDANCE INDICATING ANOTHER ONE MOVING IN FROM
THE WEST LATER TODAY. COMBINATION OF THIS IMPULSE WITH DAYTIME
HEATING AND THE SEA BREEZES WILL LEAD TO MORE ISOLATED LATE AFTERNOON
AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS OVER INLAND AREAS WITH BEST CHANCE OVER
THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE REGION. SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY A
MID/UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL BUILD WEST OF THE AREA NORTHWARD INTO THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY WHILE A TROUGH DEEPENS OFF THE EAST COAST OF
THE U.S. MOISTURE WILL REMAIN LIMITED ON SATURDAY BUT SHOULD BE
ENOUGH WHEN COMBINED WITH DAYTIME HEATING AND THE SEA BREEZES TO
CAUSE ISOLATED AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY OVER INLAND
AREAS. ON SUNDAY A FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEEPENING TROUGH WILL
PUSH SOUTHWESTWARD TOWARD THE AREA BRINGING AN INCREASE IN MOISTURE
LEADING TO SOME MUCH NEEDED SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN GENERALLY ABOVE NORMAL TODAY AND SATURDAY
RANGING FROM THE LOWER 80S ALONG THE GULF COAST TO LOWER 90S INLAND.
FOR SUNDAY DAYTIME HIGHS WILL NOT BE QUITE AS WARM THANKS TO THE
ADDITIONAL CLOUDS...BUT STILL IN THE 80S. OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL FALL
MOSTLY INTO THE 60S...EXCEPT AROUND 70 ALONG TAMPA BAY AND THE GULF
COAST.
&&
.LONG TERM (SUNDAY NIGHT - THURSDAY)...THE BACK DOOR COLD FRONT WILL
MOVE ACROSS THE REGION SUNDAY NIGHT FOLLOWED BY HIGH PRESSURE
BUILDING SOUTHWESTWARD FROM NEW ENGLAND. THIS SHOULD BRING AN END
TO THE SHOWER ACTIVITY...BUT WITH LOTS OF LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE AROUND
WILL LEAVE 20 PERCENT POPS IN PLACE FOR THE ENTIRE NIGHT.
IT WILL BE BREEZY ON MONDAY WITH STILL QUITE A FEW CLOUDS AROUND AS
STRATOCUMULUS MOVES ACROSS THE STATE FROM THE ATLANTIC. SOME SLOW
CLEARING WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE AFTERNOON AS DRIER AIR FILTERS IN.
THE LARGE HIGH RESPONSIBLE FOR DRIVING THE COLD FRONT THROUGH THE
REGION WILL FINALLY SETTLE INTO THE SOUTHEASTERN STATES ON TUESDAY.
THIS WILL ALLOW CAUSE WINDS TO DIMINISH SIGNIFICANTLY...AND BRING
EVEN DRIER AIR TO THE REGION.
THE RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER THE REGION ON WEDNESDAY
AND THURSDAY.
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL START OFF ON THE COOL SIDE MONDAY WITH LOTS
OF CLOUDS AROUND AND GUSTY WINDS. THEN WE`LL SEE A SLOW WARMING
TREND WITH TEMPERATURES RETURNING TO ABOVE AVERAGE...NEAR 90 DEGREES
IN THE INTERIOR BY FRIDAY.
OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL DEPEND A LOT ON CLOUD COVER AND WINDS...BUT WE
SHOULD SEE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SOME GOOD RADIATIONAL COOLING ALONG
ABOUT WEDNESDAY MORNING...WHICH WOULD RESULT IN MID 50S NORTH TO
AROUND 60 INTERIOR CENTRAL AND SOUTH. OTHERWISE...LOWS WILL REMAIN
NEAR OR JUST SLIGHTLY BELOW AVERAGE.
$$
.AVIATION...WE ARE SEEING SMOKE AND FOG ONCE AGAIN THIS EVENING...
ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT VERY WIDESPREAD AT THIS TIME. WE COULD SEE MVFR
VISIBILITIES THROUGH ABOUT SUNRISE FRIDAY...THEN PERHAPS A FEW
SHOWERS NEAR FMY/RSW IN THE AFTERNOON.
&&
.MARINE...WINDS AND SEAS WILL REMAIN LOW THROUGH SUNDAY WITH THE
STRONGEST WINDS OCCURRING WITH THE SEA BREEZE NEAR THE COAST EACH
AFTERNOON. WINDS AND SEAS WILL THEN INCREASE BEHIND THE BACK DOOR
COLD FRONT SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY REACHING EXERCISE CAUTION
LEVELS...POSSIBLY ADVISORY CRITERIA OFFSHORE MONDAY NIGHT.
&&
.FIRE WEATHER...RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL ONCE AGAIN FALL INTO
THE 30S...POSSIBLY UPPER 20S OVER INTERIOR PORTIONS OF THE REGION
THIS AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...IT APPEARS THAT ONLY THE NORTHERN INLAND
PORTIONS OF THE NATURE COAST WILL ACHIEVE DURATIONS LONG ENOUGH FOR
A RED FLAG WARNING. WILL NEED TO WATCH AREAS FURTHER SOUTH AND WILL
HEADLINE WITH 1 TO 3 HOURS. LOW LEVEL MOISTURE WILL GRADUALLY
INCREASE OVER THE WEEKEND WITH NO FIRE WEATHER WATCHES/RED FLAG
WARNINGS ANTICIPATED.
Yesterday I was wishing I had my camera as I watched the seabreeze storms produce amazing tops. Wishing I could leave work and join Jeff Gammons. My time will come.
I had A dream last night i was chasing a tornado( I have those dreams quite a bit)
Anyway My dream turned into a nightmare when I relized I didnt have my camera!!!
Talk about dts......My daughter was gonna take my camera for the weekend, I just saw it sitting on the couch so she forgot it....Bummer for her..cool for me..I don't wanna take a chance on missing out on anything..
I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!!

Not a bad picture for a little 4.1mp hp camera, But I will need to upgrade if i do get a chance to chase in the plains with the Twistersisters. The twistersisters are doing a reality show and are asking groups to sign up to chase with all expenses paid, After a fellow friend signed up and got in i figured what the hay what can i loose. I just got another email back from Dan the producer and he ask me if i could be available 5/12thru/5/24 for 4/5 day chase! HELL YEA!!!!
Of course I would make myself available any day anyway!!
Anyway the email said that its only a possibility that there might be an opening..
So everybody or anybody that reads this please give a little prayer...
its seems I'm so close to having a dream come true just like the story books, and she lived happily every after.
Keep your eyes to the sky
