Sky watch Friday

This photo was taken yesterday, I couldn't figure out how to get the glare out.
I am using a simple point and click 4.1mp Hp photo smart camera. I really need to get a book or take some courses on photography.
I have been reading Dewdrops blog faithfully for a year now, recently she started doing skywatch Friday from Tom Wigley's site. I decided I wanted to join in the fun!

My best friend got married Wednesday at Honeymoon Island. It was very nice very romantic and reception was nice and casual. My hub lost his phone, but it turns out he dropped it at the reception so we made another trip to Dunedin and of course we had to watch the sun set at the causeway. My hub picked the spot, not my favorite because the bridge blocks the sun but it was nice my son chased the seagulls his favorite pass time.




If you every get a chance u should defiantly go to Dunedin causeway, I love it!
We don't have causeways here in Pasco everything is persevered for the nature coast.
Which is cool, all natural.
Well I guess I should talk about some weather, beens this is a weather blog.lol.

Humidity has defiantly made a come back, I caved and turned my air back on but there is a nice cold front making its way down to Florida Sunday. Temps will drop significaly for Monday and Tuesday.
THE COLD AND DRY AIRMASS WILL BE AT ITS PEAK MONDAY NIGHT AND
TUESDAY...ALTHOUGH RADIATIONAL COOLING WILL ALLOW FOR ANOTHER COLD
NIGHT TUESDAY NIGHT. LOWS COULD DROP INTO THE MID OR UPPER 30S FOR
THE COLDER AREAS OF THE NATURE COAST MONDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT...BUT
SHOULD REMAIN NEAR OR JUST A BIT ABOVE 40 DEGREES OVER THE REMAINDER
OF THE AREA AWAY FROM THE COAST. AS USUAL...IT WILL REMAIN SEVERAL
DEGREES WARMER ALONG THE GULF COAST AND TAMPA BAY. Sometimes living next to the gulf works out, because i sure don't like the cold that's why I live here. 40% chance of rain is predicted with this front but no great storms.

Lotts of rain yesterday

That was right before the rain hit and once it did it didn't stop. April showers bring may flowers. I was hoping for some good storms but they were well into the interior of the state and also way south of me. No backyard chasing for me.
I chopped all my hair off, yes my mane is gone. I have never had my hair this short before. Of course I hate it, but it will be nice for the summer.
I opened my house back up, Highs stay right at the lower 80's for the week and if i can enjoy some fresh air i will!!

Boring Weather

This is the time of the year i don't like. No storms :( notta, nothing, just nice cool weather. Boring!!! I don't even have any pictures.
Lets see whats going on in pasco..
Chasco fiesta parade is this weekend at 1pm. I wonder how many pissed off Indians will be there this year? They think they are making a mockery of them. I think their gambling casinos do that job.
The Congo river golf is coming to Port Richey in May, cool something to do.
7 million dollars are being cut from pasco schools next year, with our population growing here in pasco,They will be dealing with allot less money with double the kids.
Where is the money from Florida lotto going? We were promised it would go towards our schools. They have also put on a freeze for new job openings with the schools.Hmp that ought to work. Another Teacher is being accused of having sex with her students that is the 3rd one this month. What are these woman thinking? Of course the latest is pleading innocent but after the news got a hold of the story she is guilty until proven innocent. First off these days you cant have any contact with students after school even if you are helping them, no matter what. Kids get upset easily and all they have to do is say she or he touched me in way i didn't like and BAM there in jail until they can prove other wise and even then they will be marked for life.Sad.
Well now since I have been keeping count since February 26( I changed my blog and lost the page element from before) I have had 409 page views from all over the world I know its not allot but I still think its cool. With a blink of a eye March is almost over

Yes folks time has slip away from me, I cant believe it is already march 20th wasn't it yesterday that is was my daughter birthday. Working nights suck!!! So much that i'm done with it, as much as I need a job my family needs me more. I am tired all the time except at 2 clock in the morning when i should be sleeping. Well no more of that I was(still am) sick this week with a severe cold. I took time off work and with that i decided i am not going back to nights. Starting Monday I will be a full force looking for a day job and you know what i don't care what is just as long as i come home to my family and do the normal family things. I have a job interview Monday for a maids job, not a glamorous job but it will fit in to my schedule perfectly. Wish me luck if that doesn't work out i wont stop till i find something.
there has been no severe weather in my neck of the woods, plenty up north and you can access their blogs from the right side of my blog.
I have decided to change my blog around a little it just reads to much like other weather blogs. You will see changes in the up coming months.
Happy Spring, for us here here in Florida its really no big deal we stay green all winter with flowers 365 days of the year. Tornado ally will be firing up soon for those lucky enough to chase but with gas prices as high as they are maybe there will be less chasers on the road.
You know guys I have to be honest i don't see myself as a real chaser anytime soon, so much time is put into it and with my hub and son consuming most of my time i dont see it being as a full time hobby, as much as I would like it to be i cant seem to find the time to study and learn the things i need to know for a safe chase. To be honest again allot of the science side is way over my head. Not that I will let it stop me from keeping my eyes to the sky, I love storms always will but my brain is simple and the weather is very complex!! Sometimes when i look at a model i just scratch my head and say wtf. I am not going to pretend i know more then I do, I have to admit i like saying i am a storm chaser i mean how cool is that? I will be a back yard chaser not as cool but cool enough for me. Love me for me, right.
Last evening my son come running in from the back yard and says mom you gotta come out and see the sunset, well i know you cant see the sun set in the back yard so i go out back and well my camera doesn't do it any justice but the MOON rise was gorgeous!

My boy has a good eye when i upgrade my camera i will give him my old one he has takin some pretty good shots.
I will leave you now there is no severe weather forcasted for this week anywhere, Have a Happy Easter, and Thank you Lord for giving up your life so we may have everlasting life with God. Jesus has risen...he has risen indeed!

Happy 20th anniversary of my daughter's birth

March 7th 1988 at 1:13 am my daughter was born. Twenty i can't believe it years ago,holy crap man i have a child in her 20's. 20 great years she was my life for so long and now she has her own i guess now i look forward to grandchildren. ( Insert laugh) i can wait awhile on that i do still have a seven year old. Happy Birthday Binners!!I love you!!!

Its raining, its pouring, my kitty cats are snoring

This radar site makes everything look severe whats really happing is rain. No thunder no wind no nothing just rain and No fun and im off today go figure. Yes I am working again nights at the Village Inn and tomorrow i go in to another restaurant called hill top cafe to see if maybe i will have a day job too. I don't know how hill top will pan out, she just said 'I am bringing everybody in" Sounds like she cleaning house and if i want the job i will have to go up against others. Wish me luck. I will have gone from no jobs to two jobs within a week. I can live with that. We need so much( I want so much).
Remember my kittens that I saved,well its been eight months now and I have grown very fond of them.
Noah, who we think is part squirrel is are olive eater. He just loves olives and will do anything for one even beg like a dog and when he is finished he acts like he is on cat nip.
Eli is my boy he has taken a great liking to me, he sleeps on me literally on me dosnt matter how i sleep he will find away to lay on me.
2:07pm- Holy crap its pouring!still no wind just strait line rain.
Back too my kitty's, anyway guess what another cat has found her way to our house she has actually been vistaing for the last couple months i think she is Eli sister if u remember Eli found his way to my bedroom window when he was just 7 wks old. This one is so friendly we just assumed she was somebody's kitty we never fed her. She was very persistent about coming inside but we never let her. Finely i started asking around to find out who she belonged to well come to find out nobody new. so we let her in and let me also remind you i have 2 dogs also. she just waltzed right inn rubbed up against both dogs and bam she made herself at home never asking to go back outside. I feel like a kitty magnet. My son has named her Salina and he has taken ownership. I am making him help me with the kitty litter.

MPH. A SECOND STORM WITH A POSSIBLE TORNADO WILL COME ASHORE BY 1020
PM NEAR NEW PORT RICHEY.

THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR...
NEW PORT RICHEY BY 1015 PM EST.
ODESSA BY 1020 PM EST.
MOON LAKE ESTATES BY 1025 PM EST.
LAND O` LAKES BY 1030 PM EST.
Of course if this was happening during the day I would be in my car chasing but so be it i sit at an arm chair chasing with the radars. Storms came in fast and furious early this evening about 430 the first wave came rolling in.

Dick Fletcher has passed away

Two weeks ago Mr. Dick Fletcher chief meteorologist for Tampa bay news had a stroke unlike his last one in 2003 where he was back to work just two weeks after.This one was more severe and it has taken my favorite meteorologist away to God.
Dick Fletcher has done so much for are community and will be remembered as a great man for us here in the Tampa bay area. Click on his name for the article just posted.
My prayers are with his family God be with you.

what a way to wake up.God speed to all.
Lately I have been wondering if i should change my blog. I have no weather instruments yet except my rain gauge and what i truly want to do is report information for skywarn and my local news. right now that is just impossible with my money situation being so tight. Do you know what is like to live from day to day? no credit cards no savings just day to day survival and in the middle of that i have to find a way to live and not just survive. Chin up and positive thought are not always an option. I know I am not alone right now with the economy the way it is more and more people are finding out what it means to survive in this jobless society. From all over i am hearing news of people losing there jobs not just people like me in the restaurant world but people with high salary's being with a company for fifteen years and just like that they are layed off With nothing and then you have grad students who eagerly accept those jobs with lower pay. More and more everyday company's are moving out of our country just yesterday my husband told me and American made product he has received for work(PVC)for the last 20 years now has the label made in china.
Doesn't are government know if we keep losing American made products more and more of us will be with out jobs. More and more of us will be with out homes, food. Pasco county is at a record high right now for the homeless more then 1500 children registered at Pasco schools do not have a permanent residence, and that number is rising. Everyday i see someone new on the street with a sign " Will work for food". Unfortunately that is how I get by day to day knowing I at least we have a shelter over our heads. We eat every night and my son has clothes on his back. Thank you God for providing!
Well I have decided to do a little change to my blog until I have the tools I need to report weather data, I still have the Internet(for now) I can monitor the radars and use NOAA web info like have been doing but I am going to share my weather learning experience with doing what i am going to call weather 101, For those like me who want to learn more about the weather we enjoy. Starting with my next blog entry, I will still have my normal layout and still write about severe weather actives for west pasco if you interested whats going on outside of Florida you can go to DEWDROPS blog she doses a great job of reporting severe events for all areas.

President's day/wet weather



Has any one notice how active the weather has been in the last five years, record breaking events every year. Now supercells lasting longer then expected, baffling experts from all over.
Just a thought.
As you can see from the picture above we have some rain coming are way thunderstorms are expected for us: ENOUGH
MID AND LOW LEVEL SHEAR WILL BE PRESENT OVER NORTHERN FLORIDA AND
SOUTHERN GEORGIA EARLY TODAY THAT A FEW STRONG STORMS MAY DEVELOP
FROM TAMPA BAY NORTHWARD. THE STRONGEST STORMS MAY PRODUCE WIND
GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH...ALONG WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL.
Yesterday the Florida panhandle and southern Alabama had there share of severe weather

Severe weather possible for Tuesday night

Saturday morning I awoke to overcast skies and the birds just singing away.
I set up a little personal space in my back screen in porch to observe the weather and just enjoy the singing.
The stationary front stalled just south of us and my hubby was telling me we were going to get some rain I tried telling him that the dryer air was already over us and the rain he was seeing in the gulf wouldn't reach us but I kept the radar on just in case I was wrong, which I wasn't.
Sunday the front finely moved on further south allowing the dry air mass to settled on in giving us beautiful blue skies for the day and temps rising to the mid seventies.
Just a beautiful day too sit under the tree and enjoy the breeze, listening too the kids play.
Today is a repeat of yesterday Beautiful skies nice breeze but there is talk of a possible severe weather event tomorrow night. HERE IS THE LATEST OUTLOOK FROM THE SPC...THOUGH DRY CONDITIONS CURRENTLY
EXIST ACROSS FL...MOISTURE ACROSS THE SRN GULF IS EXPECTED TO LIFT
NWD INTO THE REGION ON TUESDAY...AS SHORTWAVE TROUGH LIFTS FROM
THE GULF NEWD INTO THE REGION. GRADUALLY DESTABILIZING BOUNDARY
LAYER COMBINED WITH LIFT ASSOCIATED WITH APPROACHING SHORTWAVE
TROUGH SHOULD INCREASE THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE STORMS AND
POSSIBLE SUPERCELLS. WIND FIELDS MAY EVEN SUPPORT A POTENTIAL OF

It's A beautiful day

It’s a beautiful day and yes we have another beautiful weekend ahead of us.
Now that the cold front has finely moved further south we can enjoy some nice mild temps. Today’s high is around 71 and looks to be a repeat for the weekend. Sweet.

Tornadoes/ Be prepared

55 Dead, even after NWS predicted this days in advance. How many of the people that lost there lives had weather radios? How many deaths could have been avoided if people listen too the weather. If I had a system like that coming towards me I would have prepared the family ether staying the night in a safer home or Sleep in a safe room; Basement, tub closet. I'm not saying none of the victims didn't do that, it just seems with the ample warnings casualties shouldn't of been that high.
So sad.
It seems most of the damage was caused by a long track Tornadoes some stayed on the ground for a distance of 30 to 50 miles.
One in Arkansas burned through 5 counties. Amazing.
31 one people were killed in Tennessee, 13 in Arkansas, 7 in Kentucky and 4 in Alabama. Again My prayers are with all of you!If you want to hep th victims in the southDEWDROP has links on her blog, she also has links with more information on the catastrafy in he south. Thank you Dew!
Anybody who reads this and you don't have a weather radio go out and buy one there not expensive and they can save your life!! Plus watch the weather it changes everyday and anything could happen!! Be prepared!!

Southern residents assess tornado damage


In this round of storms, there were 67 eyewitness accounts of tornadoes but the number of twisters likely won't be that high because some probably saw the same funnel cloud, said Greg Carbin, the warning coordination meteorologist at the National Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla. He said a reasonable guess is that 30 to 40 tornadoes touched down.
Sadly 52 deaths have already been reported; you can read more about this event on DEWDROPS or BILL DOM'S Blog . I did not watch this event last night on radar, my husband even told me to watch but I just had too many distractions. My heart goes to all that lost family and friends and there homes. You are all in my prayers.

Mild cold front coming in

Beautiful sunrise this morning. Isn't it said if the morning is red sailors dred?
Well shortly after the sunrise the sky became overcast and light precept started falling. There is a mild cold front coming in nothing to severe temp wise, and weather wise.




Winds are still coming in from the south but once this front moves across winds will change and come from the north. The difference will be at night, with temps dropping into the high 40's to lower 50's depending on where you are. Daytime temps will be just a little bit cooler.
There is a slight risk of severe weather for the folks on the east coast of our country( eastern Carolina's has a 2% chance of tornadoes) but that's about it.
SDS at this time of year is strong with all of us weather geeks.
Come on spring!!!
Tomorrow looks to be a perfect outside day!

Florida winter

It does get cold in Florida it just doesn't last for long.
We are going to get back up to the higher 70's by Wednesday and it looks to stick around for the weekend. Very nice.
I took a picture of the full moon last week and so far it is the best image i took.

SDS is hitting me pretty hard right now I have been reading weather blogs and watching videos of last years season and I think it is making it worse.
I will be watching Thursday for a chance of severe weather in the deep south. (Florida is not considered the deep south for some reason, even know were are as far south as you can get)
But I will still watch as this system progresses and hope there is enough instability to flare up some supercells at the same time praying that nothing happens in suburban areas. Sometimes its hard to want something to happen that might hurt or destroy peoples life. I cant change what I love, or who I am for that matter.
anyway nothing severe this week for us here in sunny Ha ha its warm here Florida this week, just remember to keep those eyes to the sky even its blue, it still holds its own beauty.
