Just thinking

I've been thinking, Florida is in a drought again, It seems rain isn't flowing the way it should be.
to me just your average sky watcher, weather has been pretty normal.
It rains in the summer and its dry in the winter , You get your classic winter storms of course but for the most part its dry. So how I wonder did are levels get so low ? Is the population consuming more then our fair share?
That's what I'm thinking its not the weather or global warming its humans to many of em, filling there pools watering there lawns ( sometimes in the hottest part of the day when it does absolutely nothing) We try to reserve but more and more people move to Florida everyday.
I hope we see some more tropical events this summer with some of that extra rain to fill our lakes.

Friday, I have been having problems with my computer.
These pictures are from friday, just a little tease.....

A large band of rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms extended from the Suwanee River south and southeast, across the western half of Levy...most all of Citrus, northern Sumter, and western Hernando counties. This area will slowly push south at 5 to 10 mph...with individual cell activity moving northeast at around 40 mph. Additional showers and thunderstorms will move over the eastern Gulf waters 40 to 60 miles offshore between Cedar Key and Clearwater Beach. Boaters can expect heavy rain with reduced visibilities...occasional lightning strikes...and rough seas with the stronger storms. Residents can expect this band of activity to reach into southern Sumter eastern Hernando and western Pasco counties around 9 am. Rainfall amounts of up to an inch will be possible in localized areas.

Nothing exciting but we can definitely use the rain!!!!

Let me tell you a little story

Once upon a time there was a little Florida girl.(me)

Hi there my name is Jessika since i can remember my eyes have to the sky, Where most little girls where afraid of storms i sat by the window watching them. Growing up in Florida I have had the pleasure of watching many different kinds of weather activity my favorite of course was the summer storms, I used to chase storms on my bike and i have been chased by storms on my bike( out running few)
I never had a camera growing up my family only could provide what we needed, but i aways wanted to film these storms,before i even knew what a storm chaser was.
At sixteen everything changed my dreams of filming where put aside when my daughter Cyndi was born, I raised her alone and kind of put everything aside with no money to further my education i put all i had into raising my daughter.
Many moons have passed my daughter is 19 now, and I have been married for seven years now and have a six year old boy, David.
My dreams are still on the side line, but now with a computer and my digital camera i can learn all i can about storms and i can capture the storms that pass by me.

Now let me tell you about this incredible man my idol Jeff Gammons At 32 years old this man is living the life i dreamed of when i was that little girl. A year ago when i finely got a computer the first thing i did was find all the weather sites i could. I found Jeff at yahoo groups -weathervine. I
then found his blog stormvideographer.com Where right now he is giving away a free hurricane video. Reading jeffs blog has provided me with so much information and the the video's he has captured are truly amazing he has inspired me to start living my dream again .
Jeff and one of his readers dewdrop have also inspired me to start my own weather blog.

Another boring day

Yes in deed another boring weather day.

On a up note it is tornado week on the weather channel, they will be showing storm stories all week based on my favorite storms!!
most i have seen already but i will gladly re watch.
It does make u joanz , I can't wait for the day when I'm ready to go out for a hunt...... for now i have a lot to learn, to prepare for that special day.

A Beautiful Weekend

I was off Saturday, So we drove up to Hudson to take a look at a boat that was for sale,
As always I brought my camera and got some shots of what I thought what was going to be something interesting .

But by the time i got home it was blue skies!! Darn the beautiful weather!
Its 69* now almost perfect!
