Hello anybody who might stop by for a visit. I am off line at home right now for about a month I did finally get a job nights again at a small diner called the Broken Yolk.
It will take me a little while to get caught back up so this will be my last post until then. I will how ever be at the library once a week on Wednesday and if any excited happens in my neck of the woods I will defiantly share.

Clouds; Mondays weather Term
Good Monday Morning to you!
Well it looks like a non weather week for us here in sunny Florida with no rain forcasted for the week. April showers are all dryed up. I continue today with Monday weather Terms I went to Jet Stream online weather school from NOAA for this information on my favorite subject. Have a great week!
CLOUDS- From Jet Stream
Clouds form when air is cooled to its dewpoint or the temperature, if the air is cooled, it reaches saturation. Air can reach saturation in a number of ways. The most common way is through lifting.
As a bubble or parcel of air rises it moves into an area of lower pressure (pressure decreases with height). As this occurs the parcel expands. This requires energy, or work, which takes heat away from the parcel. So as air rises it cools. This is called an adiabatic process.
The rate at which the parcel cools with increasing elevation is called the "lapse rate". The lapse rate of unsaturated air (air with relative humidity <100%) is 5.4°F per 1000 feet (9.8°C per kilometer). This is called the dry lapse rate. This means for each 1000 feet increase in elevation, the air temperature will decrease 5.4°F.
Since cold air can hold less water vapor than warm air, some of the vapor will condense onto tiny clay and salt particles called condensation nuclei. The reverse is also true. As a parcel of air sinks it encounters increasing pressure so it is squeezed inward.
This adds heat to the parcel so it warms as it sinks. Warm air can hold more water vapor than cold air, so clouds tend to evaporate as air sinks.

Sky Watch Friday
Today's Sky Watch Picture represents the beautiful weather we have been having.
I took this picture in February at Starkey wilderness park in New Port Richey Florida.
It was a great day for kite flying my husband and son and I had a great time that day. We brought our dog Maddie who loved the fact i could take her off the leash and let her run. I have so many sky pictures I cant wait for each Friday when I can share everybody! If you want to join the fun please visit Wiggers world for rules and links to sky pictures from around the world. Just click Wigger world.
Weather wise, BEAUTIFUL! If your in to that kind of weather this is the time of the year I would love to be traveling in the plains talk about awesome weather! The view on storms out there is something I will never get to see here in Florida.
This is mammatus clouds in Nebraska
This is Mammatus clouds in Florida.
Big difference.
Don't get me wrong I love My state the clouds are amazing!
I just hope my camera holds out until i can upgrade.
I hope everyone has a great weekend if you live by me in west pasco Florida you can expect blue skies all weekend with temps climbing in to the mid 80's.
sadly no storms are forecasted.

Beautiful Days
Blue skies, nice breeze, warm but not hot temperatures, one could get used to this.
I'm sorry I did not get a chance to do my Monday Weather terms,. My son came down with Cat scratch fever I had to take him to the doctors and he wanted all my attention. I will resume weather terms again on Monday.
weather is again back to normal for April, early this week it was actually cold for Florida standards 40's at night and upper 60's for daytime high.Brrr.
Right now it is a perfect 75, just right.I caught some real pretty early morning clouds the other day I would have got the perfect sunrise shot if those pesky house's weren't in the way.
This is the only picture that came out half way decent the rest were kinda blurry.
Since I have had no storms to photograph I have been taken kitty shots. I guess you can call me cat stalker for now.
Have a great day and see you tomorrow for sky watch Friday!

Sky watch Friday
This photo was taken yesterday, I couldn't figure out how to get the glare out.
I am using a simple point and click 4.1mp Hp photo smart camera. I really need to get a book or take some courses on photography.
I have been reading Dewdrops blog faithfully for a year now, recently she started doing skywatch Friday from Tom Wigley's site. I decided I wanted to join in the fun!
My best friend got married Wednesday at Honeymoon Island. It was very nice very romantic and reception was nice and casual. My hub lost his phone, but it turns out he dropped it at the reception so we made another trip to Dunedin and of course we had to watch the sun set at the causeway. My hub picked the spot, not my favorite because the bridge blocks the sun but it was nice my son chased the seagulls his favorite pass time.
If you every get a chance u should defiantly go to Dunedin causeway, I love it!
We don't have causeways here in Pasco everything is persevered for the nature coast.
Which is cool, all natural.
Well I guess I should talk about some weather, beens this is a weather blog.lol.
Humidity has defiantly made a come back, I caved and turned my air back on but there is a nice cold front making its way down to Florida Sunday. Temps will drop significaly for Monday and Tuesday.
THE COLD AND DRY AIRMASS WILL BE AT ITS PEAK MONDAY NIGHT AND
TUESDAY...ALTHOUGH RADIATIONAL COOLING WILL ALLOW FOR ANOTHER COLD
NIGHT TUESDAY NIGHT. LOWS COULD DROP INTO THE MID OR UPPER 30S FOR
THE COLDER AREAS OF THE NATURE COAST MONDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT...BUT
SHOULD REMAIN NEAR OR JUST A BIT ABOVE 40 DEGREES OVER THE REMAINDER
OF THE AREA AWAY FROM THE COAST. AS USUAL...IT WILL REMAIN SEVERAL
DEGREES WARMER ALONG THE GULF COAST AND TAMPA BAY. Sometimes living next to the gulf works out, because i sure don't like the cold that's why I live here. 40% chance of rain is predicted with this front but no great storms.
Have a great weekend!

Lotts of rain yesterday
That was right before the rain hit and once it did it didn't stop. April showers bring may flowers. I was hoping for some good storms but they were well into the interior of the state and also way south of me. No backyard chasing for me.
I chopped all my hair off, yes my mane is gone. I have never had my hair this short before. Of course I hate it, but it will be nice for the summer.
I opened my house back up, Highs stay right at the lower 80's for the week and if i can enjoy some fresh air i will!!
Monday's weather term: Altocumulus castellanus-
An altocumulus cloud showing vertical development.Individual cloud elements have tower like tops, often in shapes of tiny castles.
well thats all for me for now Have a good Monday!
